A founding member of AUTISM, Vadim Militsin was born in Georgia and raised in Germany.
His early works composed in the mid 90's in Minsk (Belarus) bridged the gap between electronic pop and experimentalism,
pioneering the intuitive use of old analog synthesizers from the Soviet era.
Critically acclaimed by Christopher Franke (ex-Tangerine Dream), AUTISM's fundamental album membrana(1997)
was webbed with dozens of ethnic samples.
Since moving to New York in 2000, Vadim has been exploring connections between shamanic impact of sounds and preferences of technological sound synthesis.
The latest works by AUTISM including gaijin (2004) and future-proof present (2009) were substantially influenced by Vadim's journeys to Eastern Asia and South America.
